Groundwater Modeling & Monitoring
JC Geotechnics
offer a range of service including dewatering management plans suitable for to be submitted to council and Water NSW.
We also carryout groundwater monitoring using data loggers. Data loggers provide continuous monitoring of the groundwater levels allowing us to provide adequate advice to our clients, and designers to assist in the design of a cost effective shoring/retention solutions.
Data loggers also allow us to monitor the groundwater levels outside the excavation during dewatering process. this enable us to report back to the client and contractors.
Inclinometer Installation and Monitoring
Inclinometers (also known as slope indicators) are precision instruments used to measure horizontal displacements in the subsurface. Inclinometers are typically used to measure movement when slope stability is a concern for natural slopes, constructed cut/fill slopes, and deep fill projects. The instruments are lowered and raised through a specialty inclinometer casing with precision machined grooves which serve as tracks instrument. NGE-TFT is experienced as installing the specialty casing and taking inclinometer measurements for engineering studies and construction monitoring.
Earthworks Supervision and Compaction Testing
JC Geotechnics offers level 1 earthwork supervision and compaction testing to standards as mandated in the AS3798 guidelines.
Our expert personnel will work with you on the work site during the earthwork operations.
Our experienced geologist will assess material quality used in earthworks.
Level 1 earthwork supervisions and testing is an important part of the job of Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA). These supervisions enable this authority to:
Ensure compliance of work with quality standards
Ensure reliable inspections
Conduct adequate testing to meet purpose and design requirements
Full-time supervision on-site during bulk earthwork operations
Pile Integrity Testing
The purpose of integrity testing is to discover such flaws before they can cause any damage. Historically, pile integrity was investigated by direct methods. These included external methods such as excavation around the pile and internal or intrusive methods, such as core-drilling .
Vibration Monitoring Plans and Monitoring
Vibration Analysis is defined as the measurement of movement of a point on a machine.
This transforms mechanical motion into an electrical voltage, which is generated by the compression of a piezoelectric crystal inside the sensor. This electrical signal is then sent to the vibration analyzer connected to it.
